I deal with different kinds of games in different platforms.
As a man who loves to play I will always put the player's Viewpoint first.
Understanding it, is the key to success.
For me, a game can be played on a touch screen, viewed on TV in a game show, played with friends in a quest or a riddle in a newspaper.
Each platform needs its own unique solution with the understanding of how the player's experience meets the platforms limits and qualities.
The values and principles of one game can be implemented in creative solutions of another game, or even in a non-game context to improve engagement in learning, marketing and other areas where motivation-based action is required.
